JULY 2nd

This is a report of the first sitting. Graham was seated in the cabinet, with Chris sitting to the side.There were pink fairy lights to the side of Chris, and a red lamp (with a dimmer switch) was placed on the floor by her feet. These were the only sources of light within the room on this occasion.

In the north corner, opposite the cabinet, a video camera (H.D.) was running on the mains supply. This was set on night vision (but without infra red). This camera also has a sound recording fascility. In addition to this Chris ran a small battery-reliant digital recorder.

The music being played was the same as is played within the High Spirit's circle (mainly Enya, Enigma and Tim Wheater).Upon the floor in the centre of the room various small items had been placed (a small sheet of paper, a small balsa wood sheet, an upturned plastic cup, a small wooden stemmed cup). The position of each item had been marked.The sitting was opened and closed with the Circle's customary prayer.

On this occasion Graham experienced spontaneous trance soon after entry into the Lodge, although the depth of this was variable. In Chris's opinion this trance condition, when apparent, was not self-induced.

NOTE: The video showed no unusual visual effects so the recording was not saved.

JULY 24th

Pink lighting conditions. 40 minute seance.

Chris and Margaret were seated as supporting sitters to Graham. On this occasion Graham was seated within the open cabinet. A few items were placed, their positions marked, upon the wooden floor in the centre of the room. The music played was the same as for Graham's previous (first) sitting. On this occasion trance appeared to be very light, and was also unstable. The three sitters remain positive and open minded.

AUGUST 7th

Mainly red lighting conditions (upon FC's guidance prior to the seance). 60 minutes seance.

The music was identical to that played on the two previous occasions. No small items were placed in the centre of the room, instead a small white circular table was positioned there.

Graham's supporting sitters were Chris and Margaret.

On this occasion Graham's trance condition might best be described and 'significant'. All three felt that his trance state was being controlled by Spirit. Both witnessing sitters saw energy 'fuzz' around and above the medium and both saw small blue energy lights. Both sitters saw energy obscuring their view the vessel.

AUGUST 14th

Mainly red lighting conditions. 75 minute seance.

Medium: Graham (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Margaret.

The seance began as on the previous occasions. The medium this time sat in spirit-induced trance state from the start of the second piece of music. The vessel mainly remained motionless, aside from some head movement; and later in the evening some movements of the hands.

The energy within the cabinet area appeared to come from above, rather like rain. It became 'active', in a manner similar to that witnessed within the other circles regularly held here, although none are actually quite the same. The energy on this occasion seemed heavier and less refined than that seen in the Spirit Sanctuary circle, which is seen as pink/purple in colour. The energy within the Spirit Space circle also appears differently, has been seen as green upon occasion, and it doesn't seem to come from above (usually). However...other visual effects were apparent:

As sitters watched, three separate faces appeared as if blended with the vessels own, each face was clearly seen. There were spaces of time between each demonstration. Each of the transfigured faces was stable and clearly apparent for about a minute in duration.

NOTE: After the seance Graham said that he had felt as if his face was being pulled and manipulated, as if the muscles were being moved around, although not painfully. He felt as if he had been seated within the cabinet for a short period of time, maybe 15 minutes. He was very surprised to learn that he had been sitting for over an hour and that it was dark outside, when it had been light when he went into the lodge.

AUGUST 28th

Mainly soft pink lighting conditions. 65 minute seance.

Medium: Graham (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Margaret.

On this occasion a small round table had been placed in the centre of the room, with an upturned plastic up placed in its centre. The seance began as usual.

Energy was seen within the cabinet area almost from the start of the seance. Then during the second piece of music a blurred face was becoming presented 'in place of' the vessels own, but the face wasn't stable. Other faces were seen also, but none were clearly presented.

A 'visitor' came forward, presenting (possibly) as a sailor, with the vessel's body swaying back and forth and to the sides in a rolling motion at this point.Chris felt that the trance condition was at times deeper than previously witnessed. It is always interesting to see how things develop.

At the present time we have no expectations, but enjoy the seance experience none the less.

NOTE (added to this post on September 1st):Towards the end of this seance FC offered Chris clear indication of his presence. Chris receives such communication 'telepathically'. The gist of this communication was that Graham should be seated within a closed cabinet with the room set with dimmed red lighting conditions, and for the trumpet to be placed on the floor no more than 15 inches from the cabinet.

Chris, at the time, didn't mention this to either Graham or Margaret, she being still inclined towards scepticism. On Sunday the same communication was repeated. Then on Monday morning, early, again this suggestion was offered.

Chris will, as is her custom, now act upon the guidance given.

NOTE: For the possible interest of those starting their own circles, I have always quesioned the messages I receive. Although a total believer in witnessed phenomena, particularly when 'everyone' hears or sees the same thing, I am less readily convinced by 'telepathic' communication (be it received by myself or by others). My method of management is to consider the suggestion apparently received and to weigh up, with the aid of experience, whether the suggestion appears 'harmless' to effect. If I come to the conclusion that it is harmless, I then make a conscious decision to act. I do not follow such guidance blindly but, after consideration, by conscious decision. I retain personal responsibility.

Over time I have developed a belief and trust in 'FC'...simply because in the early days of the Circle, on so many occasions when puzzled or literally 'in the dark' within seance conditions, I have been guided by 'telepathy' to act in a certain way, that has then proven to be appropriate. I personally had, at those times, little experience to call upon...so the guidance offered was my only 'light'. I therefore do believe and trust in FC....whilst still remaining questioning. It is through retaining the essence of enquiry that I remain motivated to experience learning.

SEPTEMBER 11th

This evenings seance wasn't as planned. Guest sitter Jeremy being present we decided to sit in red lighting conditions with Graham seated in the open cabinet. A small round table was placed in the centre of the room with an upturned cup upon it.

65 minute seance. Red lighting conditions.

Medium: Graham (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Margaret. Jeremy.

The energy was felt to be 'heavy' this evening. There was energy 'fuzz' seen within the cabinet area, along with 'waving' energy seen within the room by all three sitters. Chris and Jeremy mentioned seeing 'sparkles' and Margaret and Jeremy saw a red 'glow' down the centre of the vessel's plain T shirt. Chris felt ectoplasm to be present.

The vessels facial features changed several times, with facial presentations being clearly seen to last for several minutes. Jeremy felt the faces to project into the room by a couple of feet. Chris saw a projection also, but felt it to be a matter of inches. Such is the nature of early development, with sitters seeing varying things until such time as stability is attained and all may then see the same thing with confidence.

UPDATE:

Due to his work and the distance travelled Graham finds it difficult to attend the Circle each week. It has therefore been decided that his energies might be best blended within the other Lodge circles here where attendence can be more flexible.
